Halloween Done Healthy: Try These Alternate Options

Excited about Halloween but feeling slightly anxious about the high calorie treats that are going to be everywhere you turn?
For someone who is trying to sustain a fat loss diet plan, Halloween can be just about as hard to make it through as Christmas since goodies are everywhere in the days leading up to it – and in some cases, you’ll find them even more frequently after Halloween as everyone is trying to clear away their left-over candy.
If you’re not careful, all those little treats will add up quickly. While they may seem harmless – after all, they’re pint sized, they aren’t. In fact, these can even do more harm because since you think they aren’t all that high in calories, you may eat more throughout the day, totally far more calories than if you had just eaten a regular sized candy bar.
That’s why it’s very essential that you really limit yourself to just one a day if you are going to indulge, or better yet, turn to one of the following smarter ideas.
Halloween Jell-O
The very first Halloween treat that you should consider adding to your diet plan is Halloween Jell-O. To prepare this, simply prepare sugar-free orange Jell-O powder according to the package directions, and then add in blueberries or black grapes either before placing it in the fridge, or partway through the setting period if you want them to appear to be floating.
This dish will only contain around 50 calories or so per serving and is a great way to kill that craving for something sweet quickly.
Halloween Chocolate Pudding Cups
Moving along, the next Halloween dessert that you should be considering adding to your diet plan is chocolate pudding cups. If you prepare this for yourself, it’s a great Halloween treat that will calm any craving for chocolate in a hurry and help you stick with your diet plan.
To prepare these Halloween chocolate pudding cups, whip up a package of low-sugar, low-fat chocolate pudding powder according to the package directions with skim milk.
Then crumble some lower fat chocolate Oreo cookies up and layer these between the chocolate pudding in a parfait cup. Top with some low fat whipped topping and then serve when ready. If not serving immediately, place in the fridge to chill.
Frozen Grapes
Finally, the last good choice to have on Halloween this year to help keep your calorie count down but your nutrition high is frozen grapes. Frozen grapes are great since they’re full of good nutrition and polyphenols and will also take longer to eat as well.
Rather than eating hard candies or jelly beans, frozen grapes will be the perfect substitute.
So there you have some of the top Halloween treat choices to have this coming holiday. Choose these and you can indulge without setting your diet off track all too much.
